First Steps: A couple who lives outside of our geographic area should begin by submitting their information online at this website. When the staff see that a patient may have to travel, they can arrange a first appointment by telephone or teleconference (webcam).
Diagnostic testing, if needed prior to treatment, can usually be completed in home towns and countries, thereby reducing travel time.
With test results in hand at the next consultation, couples will develop a treatment plan and schedule tailored for them and their unique problems and concerns. They are encouraged to make one visit to the practice facility for final details and a tour. This makes the whole IVF process more comfortable. You will feel like family, not patients!
Making IVF Happen: Patients are given a detailed schedule with medications and dates for monitoring. Couples can plan ahead for their work and travel as the egg retrieval and embryo transfer is scheduled in advance. The couples (the woman, mainly) will need approximately one week for proper care. This week will consist of intermittent visits to one of our Gulf Coast locations. We highly recommend taking this time to enjoy a “vacation at the beach”. If time or work conflicts, the husbands are only required for 1-2 days.
