Fertility Resources

Should I Seek Fertility Treatment?

There are several instances where you may consider seeking out resources on fertility. Typically, a family or individual should consider seeing a fertility specialist if they are:

  • Women under 35 who have been trying to conceive for a year
  • Women over age 35 who have been trying to conceive for six months
  • Women over 40 who have been trying to conceive for three months
  • Women with a low ovarian reserve
  • Failed conception after 3 months of fertility pills
  • Women who have experienced repeated miscarriages
  • Damaged fallopian tubes
  • Known endometriosis, or suspected by menstrual pain and other symptoms
  • Men with persistently abnormal semen analysis
  • Diagnosed with chronic conditions, such as PCOS
  • LGBTQ+ couples or individuals
  • Family history of infertility

If you need resources on promoting fertility or treating infertility, speak to your ObGyn about a referral to a reproductive endocrinologist (REI).
