Barry A. Ripps, M.D., FACOG, ACGE, brings over a twenty-five years of clinical experience in human reproduction to the Gulf Coast. Dr. Ripps graduated cum laude from Vanderbilt University and completed medical school at the University of Alabama in Birmingham (UAB). For Residency and Fellowship, he attended the University of Tennessee-Memphis. During his training and early practice, Dr. Ripps published extensively his research in the areas of endometriosis, polycystic ovary syndrome, male factor infertility and assisted reproduction. He was a pioneer in laparoscopic surgery with emphasis on conservative management of endometriosis-associated infertility.Laboratory Accreditation by the College of American Pathology, membership in the Society for Assisted Reproductive Technologies (SART) and board certification in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility exemplify the commitment to quality outcomes for infertile couples and are distinguishing attributes of this practice.
Linda Fricke, MSN, WHNP-BC, has been in Women’s Health for over thirty years. Mrs. Fricke graduated from Florida State University in 1981 with her Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing. She attended graduate school at the University of Alabama in Birmingham where she completed her Master of Science in Nursing with a focus in Maternal-Infant Nursing. After working in obstetrics as a Nurse Manager and Clinical Nurse Specialist her focus and passion were drawn to reproductive endocrinology and infertility.
With a zest for learning and doing more, Mrs. Fricke pursued and completed her Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner degree at University of South Alabama. She brings to the NewLIFE Team an extraordinary level of dedication, expertise, compassion and value. These assets will be palpable from the first time you meet her.
Brijinder S. Minhas, Ph.D., HCLD, MBA, brings to NewLIFE thirty-two years of combined clinical and laboratory expertise. Board Certified in Embryology and Andrology by the American Board of Bioanalysis, he has published and lectured extensively on the many facets of mammalian reproduction with a primary focus on the diagnosis and treatment of male causes of infertility.
A pioneer in the field of male infertility, he has performed thousands of micromanipulation procedures to include PZD, SUZI, ICSI, Assisted Hatching, and Embryo Biopsy for preimplantation genetic diagnosis.
Prior to joining NewLIFE, Dr. Minhas served as Regional Scientific Director and Regional Vice President of Operations for the largest multi-site, national provider of physician practice management services in reproductive medicine and infertility. He has served on National Institutes of Health (NIH) study sections and is a member of a broad list of professional societies, including ASRM, ABB, College of Reproductive Biology, and International Embryo Transfer Society. As these impressive qualifications are being sought nationally and internationally, Dr. Minhas provides consultations to other fertility practices with a diverse menu of Global Infertility Solutions .
Douglas S. Moore, TS, ELD was recruited to join the NewLIFE team in August of 2008, bringing twenty years of ART experience to enrich the our state-of-the-art service. He is proficient in all aspects of Human Embryology and Andrology. For six and a half years Douglas served as the Embryology Supervisor for Stanford University in California.
His expertise has been solicited as a consultant for many ART programs in the country where his reputation for solid understanding of both practical and theoretical laboratory science is demonstrated. Recognizing that many, if not most, of the advances in fertility success have arisen in the ART laboratory, Douglas is a welcome addition fulfilling more expectations for our patients.
Terri Bishop MS, CNM, ARNP, brings fifteen years of women's health experience to NewLIFE. She graduated with honors, magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from Russell Sage College in Troy, New York in 1995. After six years of experience as a charge nurse in labor and delivery, postpartum, and newborn nursery, Terri returned to graduate school, receiving a Masters of Science degree in Midwifery in 2002 from the State University of New York.
As a native of Panama City Florida, she returned home with a dedication to her career, the area, and the people in the community, joining NewLIFE in April of 2005. This commitment is apparent to all who visit with her and her presence on the NewLIFE team has raised the bar for exceptional fertility care in the Panama City area.
Toni Vial, RN BSN has excelled in women's health care for more than fifteen years. She attended Louisiana State University and University of South Alabama with a bachelors of science degree in Nursing. She began her career in labor & delivery, with experience in the newborn nursery, post-partum and childbirth education.
Her commitment to women's health has compelled her to expand her knowledge and areas of competence. With a desire to help "make babies", too, Mrs. Vial joined the NewLIFE Team in May 2009 and has coordinated all facets of patients' fertility care. She has become an integral asset and an advocate for couples seeking board-certified fertility care in Mobile, Alabama. Patients feel the TLC from their first contact in this convenient West Mobile office.
Rachel Depart ARNP, CNM joined NewLIFE as the Clinical Director of our office located in Tallahassee. She graduated from University of Miami with her Bachelors degree in Nursing, then Case Western Reserve Univeristy with her Masters degree in Nursing. Rachel's Certification as a Women's Health Practitioner and Nurse Midwife was obtained at the Frontier School of Family Nursing and Midwifery, the oldest Midwifery School in the Country.
Rachel has over 23 years of experience in Women's Health. She spent 13 of those years as a nurse midwife in Tallahassee. Her addition brings to NewLIFE this admirable level of expertise and a dramatically expanded access for patients in the North Florida region.
